The New ISO 9001.2015

This is the first major revision of ISO 9001 since 2000. The target date for completion of the standard will be September 2015. Examples of these changes are risk based thinking, increasing supply chain management and greater need for business planning for sustainability.

What is a transition period for certified organizations?

This is the period during which both standards, ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015, co-exist. This phase will last from September 2015 to September 2018, during which users will have to upgrade their quality management systems to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Do not wait for the last minute as the transition phase can slowly be included in your systems as early as October 2015.
